Project Bridges presented at the Florida Council for Exceptional Children's conference and teach-in scheduled for October 23-25, 2016 in beautiful Sarasota. Several Project scholars presented on their work in their classrooms and their schools.

In August 2016, Dr. Little, Dr. Pearl, and Dena Slanda attended the Professional Learning Meeting for NCII and 325K Projects. During this meeting, project personnel were provided with hands-on learning experiences designed to enhance current course offerings by Project Bridges at UCF with access to tools and resources from NCII. This learning meeting further provided information on alignment of intensive interventions within a Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) and focused on the importance of integrating academics and behavior. 



Drs. Little and Pearl, along with project assistant Dena Slanda, attended and presented at the Office of Special Education Program's (OSEP) Project Director's conference in Washington, DC held August 1-3, 2016.  This conference provided the Project Bridges team with the opportunity to share their important work with grantees to determine and implement areas for improvement to our work through discussions focused on current topics.

Project Bridges presented on its important work at the Council for Exceptional Children's national convention held in St. Louis, MO April 13-16, 2016. Drs. Little and Pearl, along with project assistants Dena Slanda and Victoria Findley, facilitated discussions with participants about the impact Project Bridges has had on teacher education preparation at the graduate level. To learn more about the convention, click here.


Project Bridges presented on Intensive Interventions at the Florida Council for Exceptional Children conference October 1-3, that was held in beautiful Orlando, FL. Dr. Little along with project assistants Dena Slanda, Victoria Findley, and Lauren Patrusky presented to a diverse crowd of attorney advocates, classroom teachers, exceptional education directors, administrators, and school officials on the topic of Intensive Interventions in the classroom within an MTSS framework.
