Welcome to Project Bridges!

Project BRIDGES 2.0 is an innovative federally-funded project through the Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP) that includes funding for courses leading to either a Master’s of Education in Special Education or an Educational Specialist degree in School Psychology coupled with a Collaborative Intervention Specialist Graduate Certificate.

The Graduate Certificate for a Collaborative Interventions Specialist emphasizes a collaborative, interdisciplinary preparation of special education teachers and school psychologists to support students with High Intensity Needs. Scholars who earn this graduate certificate will be prepared as interventionist specialists to serve students with persistent and severe learning and behavioral challenges that require the most intensive interventions.

 Project Goals
  • Recruit graduate level scholars, including those from traditionally underrepresented groups, who have potential to become highly effective special education teachers or school psychologists;
  • Prepare Scholars in Graduate Degree Programs in Exceptional Student Education or School Psychology that incorporate an evidence-based, interdisciplinary Graduate Certificate as a Collaborative Intervention Specialist;
  • Retain Scholars through completion of the program and induction into the profession through ongoing advisement, financial support, and mentorship.
